He answered my first call and said to come on in and had my two plaques ready within 30 minutes. I found a lot of other places took days and had a minimum order price requirement. He even let me watch him make them! Very nice man. Also very glad I gave Amazon a break and supported a small business.
Shop is super dusty and doesn't have a good feel at all. I went three times to try to get a quote for my job and was disappointed to find out the gentleman that does all the work is never around. The guy that WAS there didn't know how to take an order and was just sitting there watching movies, which in turn made it hard to avoid making multiple trips to the shop. My recommendation to the shop owner is to get a make over and make your staff a wee bit more knowledgeable/presentable.

I had several occasions to utilize this establishment's services for a local Portland business monthly and yearly, and the proprietor is a skilled, reliable, timely, and flexible craftsman. While the store appears utterly chaotic and smells like 20 year old incense, and the hours are not exactly steady. I HIGHLY recommend this joint. The owner-operator was talented at helping intuitively choose the right designs for my purposes without hesitation, and with great results. His work was always quality, except once, where he immediately remedied the slight error. He and his partner are very friendly, call as soon as work is done (often ahead of schedule), and are just plain pleasant to be around. Pricing is very reasonable, too. Please patronage this little store - not easy to see if you're not looking for it, it's a small storefront - it's a great value for great quality, and great company to boot! Can't believe I just said "to boot," but really, this place is rad, and if you need plaques, trophies, or related wares, I urge you to go to Classic Trophies.
