I love Happy Valley schools...and if anyone thinks they need more workers then try volunteering.
I understand why people may be complaining about THIER child's experience and yeah i can agree that the office assistants are not the greatest, but that doesn't nessisarily mean that everyone and everything about our school is bad.I may not speak for all of us fellow students when i say this but HVMS is a great school with lot's of opertunities to grow and learn. I for one know that kids can be jerks, ( I have been in both cituations, both bullied and the bully) but not all kids are the same. Trends come and go, and so does our experiences I know now that it is very different, our school respects whatever sexuality you represent yourself as and will help those in need. Our fundraisers are not for our school, because we are not all self centered we have sent sevral teams into other countries to provide water that our hard earned money has graciously provided. No not all of us here at HVMS are rich many are but also many aren't, the less fortunate are treated as equals to the more fortunate. we pride ouselv's on being upstanders. not bullies, and those parents whose kids do not listen and who are not kind try their best but in all truth it is up to the kid to change i love my school and couldn't wish for a better group of people to spend my middle school years with
I know that some people may be upset with their or their child's experience at HVMS and I get that. every school gets complaints and here at HVMS we embrace them and use them to make our school are more fun, and welcoming place to be, but we don't let them define who we are. I know middle school can be a scary threatening place for newcomers but I found that when I came to this school it almost instantly felt like home, most of the staff is so kind and welcoming and make us students feel safe. Our school welcomes all gender identifications, races, and helps the less fourtunante. And as for the bullies, well every school has them so saying that the only thing that defines us are our bullies is stupid and pointless because you could go to any school and experience bulling, and its not the kids fault. they should learn right from wrong from their parents not our teachers. Also almost none of the money we earn from fundraisers/dances goes to the 'Thirst Project" A company that collects funds to provide wells for people in africa, so we are most definately not self centered and selfish.

i get that people are upset or unhappy with their or their child's experience in their time at HVMS but i would also like to point out that just because you are angry or upset doesnt mean you can just go and vent out your feelings on the internet. if you wouldnt say it to someones face then why would you say it online, much like words things you post are perminent and can never really be deleted forever. Also I would like to add that we are NOT nasty and snooty, we have banded together to raise money to provide water to people who dont have it. we also have changed our staff so for those of you who were complaining there you go. And to Momto mykids I would like to point out that our office staff my not be perfect but do NOT act like you asked them to preform open heart surgery. I know i dont speak for everyone when I say that HVMS is an amazing school. And yes some kids in my school are bullies but every school in the world has them, it does not define who we are, many of us are just as accepting and kind as the next person. so next time you want to vent please remember that words do hurt, and they do make a difference.
